What is it?

I can't figure it out. It seems like they give you a number that you can use to forward to other phones. These sorts of services have been around forever. What's so special about Google Voice?

I dont think you can. But if you have a gmail account then you can request a GV account. Took me 5 days. Took my coworker 2 days to get his.

I have it. I ended up with a 916 area code because i wanted "Kevers" in my number.

Its a smart system and will get better. I like it because I have a work cell, home cell, no more home number etc, but now I can just give out this number and not worry about switching cell providers, etc. I also love the screening feature. The ability to block a caller from the initial call is awesome.

Call me again about my car warranty, I DARE YA!
