holy moly security+ is only 90 minutes with 100 questions, that gives no time to check over. Unless you're a machine with test taking.

I'm sorry but IMO having endless random certs on your background will just show that you're a good test taker. I would just decide what you want to focus your career on and stick with it. For example, if your goal is to become a CCIE then there is no real need to get an MCSE.

Ok sorry, I know that all certs are good and useful. But I would get them throughout your career later on. For starters I would focus on what you're most interested in or the what the type of job you want to get into is looking for.

Completely see your point and agree to some degree but i'm not doing it to collect certs. However I am also in school pursuing an IT degree and I also have an internship doing networking troubleshooting, break fix, tech support (live and in person) and as a bonus they help me get certs. I don't know if I will pursue the MCSE but extra knowledge is always good if it's available I'll probably look into the Security+ next or an A+ since they are often required for alot of jobs.

I personally prefer the world of Networking than Systems Management or Security or Database. So my choice was the CCNA,CCNP,CCIE route. A CCNA cert is not too difficult if you do the training at a good facility with equipment for practice. And once you get into the world of Cisco you will become a niche employment candidate as opposed to an MCSE which are all readily available. But you need to figure what is the route that interests you the most.

Which test did you take?

I took 70-680 yesterday.

I take 70-647 tomorrow and 70-643 on friday.

Upgrade for my mcse.

For all you cert naysayers. Obviously you didn't know the dod requires certs for jobs now. So they aren't worthless.

NAH BRO

Certs are worthless, especially when the largest employers in the region REQUIRE them!

Hey, i'm working on my 70-680. Gonna take it soon. How bad was it?
