Yeah, especially the way he played in the pre-season. If he can keep that up, he'll be in the league for a long time.

Isn't starting salary about 1.5M? With 60-ish players on the team, $250/pp doesn't sound that extravagant...

Maybe for this player that is, but the league miniumum for rookies is $310,000. So, this type of behavior is limited to 1st round picks, not later round picks making under $1 million. The NFL average is over $1.5 million, but much of that is due so many players making big salaries...unlike in the NBA where even crap players make $2-3 million.
