Greeks Rioting Over Finanical Crisis - Burning Banks To The Ground! 3 Bankers Killed! - May 5, 2010, 11:37 AM

Wow the Greeks ain't having it.

They're out in the street burning down banks, they stormed Parliment and government buildings, set cars, firetrucks, etc on fire and are shooting at and burning cops that try to stop them.

3 dead so far. I hope Wall Street is watching. I can easily see something like this happening in America. It's really getting to that level.

Especially Goldman Sachs because they conned Greece and "cook the books" with their recipe of weird swaps and derivatives, and did all kinds of financial fuckery which left them in the state they are now.

Why:

Quote:
ATHENS, Greece – Deadly riots over harsh new austerity measures engulfed the streets of Athens on Wednesday, killing three bank workers as angry protesters tried to storm parliament, hurled Molotov cocktails at police and torched buildings.

Quote:
Earlier Josef Schaeffler, a senior member of Angela Merkel's CDU party, suggested Greece should sell a Greek island or two to help pay its way out of trouble.

"Sell your islands, you bankrupt Greeks! And sell the Acropolis too!" said Bild, with customary understatement.

The war goes on, interrupted by only brief outbreaks of civility between two tribes with opposing views of the other

something like that would never happen in the US Heist for a simple reason, people here argue way to much with eachother to get anything done.

So the euro might be done by the end of the year...

To be honest, I can see the Tea Party Movement members along with some state militia fruits doing something like this.

It doesn't take much. Peaceful protest - cop gets ancy and fires a tear gas can - pandamonium ensues.

As for the Euro, it's headed into the crapper.

For a currency that's used by and factors economies of 13-14 countries to swing this far down in this short period of time is definitely not a good thing.

On the flip side, it also doesn't help us either really because it makes American goods more expensive to foreigners so we depend on a high demand for exports to help us grow out of our doldroms.

Damn 2nd day of riots! Watching it on CNBC right now. Stretching into the night.

Ministry of Finance building set on fire. Cops are getting throttled.
