Guacamole Recipie - September 8, 2011, 12:29 PM

heres the way i make my guac.... feeds about 2-4

7-10 avocados
1 bunch of cilantro
1-2 limes
1-2 tomatoes
diced garlic (i use pre diced stuff in a jar fresh would work as well id say about 6 cloves or so)
Peppers -I like it hot so i usually use serrano about 4-6 depending on how hot they are...ive used jalapeno about 2 ...and tomorow im going to attempt using a habenero
Salt
Pepper
garlic powder

First. De skin your avocado and put in a bowl. (save about 3 of their seeds)
2nd. chop up your cilantro really fine and add to avocado
3rd.chop your pepper of choice up very fine and throw in bowl
4th.Add garlic, salt, pepper, garlic salt to bowl and mix then add lime...from here you want to taste it to see if it needs anything
5th.cut tomatoes open take the innards out and throw them away (the seeds/gooey stuff) chop up and throw in bowl...

mix lightly and you got some decent guac....

i suggest buying the avocados @ costco because they are usually cheaper and in bulk....

you can vary how much of what you dump in there this is just a starting point...

maybe one day ill put up my chile verde recipe

I admit that I was like "WTF, is this RachaelRaySportBites.com?!?" Then I learned this trick. Have to try it next time. Oh, and I use Cowhorn peppers.

Grow 'em. They do well in pots as do most peppers. I'm on my 5th harvest of Cowhorn and Cayenne's .

Holey fuck man, 2-4 super fat asses!? Is this a post-fast meal for the week? 2-3 avocados should be fine for 2-4 people.
