Rapper DMX Arrested in the Valley
Earl Simmons faces felony charge

PHOENIX - Rapper DMX is back behind bars. He was arrested on Thursday for a felony charge of violating probation. The well-known rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, has a long history with breaking the law in Maricopa County.

DMX performed in Scottsdale one week ago. The artist has been arrested six times now in Maricopa County.

He was arrested for not following the terms of his probation, including checking in with his probation officer. DMX was on parole after an assault conviction.

His publicist told FOX 10's Alexis Vance that DMX had a late-night court appearance on Thursday.

FOX 10 sat down with the rapper last weekend, and he talked about his stay in Tent City.

“I was in Tent City for awhile. I don't take orders well or direction. He (Sheriff Joe Arpaio) said, ‘You had an attitude problem.’ They talk to you any kind of way. At the end of the day, I am still a man,” DMX said.

DMX also told FOX 10 he wanted to stay under the radar and focus on his music.

He said he has no hard feelings toward Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the man who keeps arresting him.

“No, hate would ruin my life. I wish him the best -- good health, long life -- leave me alone,” DMX said

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

It is a shame when you don't even remember a dude getting out of jail and he is already back in. He must have enjoyed his stay.
