That is why he has an amusement park in his house, a movie theatre. etc. I think the guy even though middle aged has never grown up and is attempting to live a childhood he never had. I don't think he molested anyone, I do think it was inappropriate to have sleep-overs in the same room where you can leave that kind of doubt. He also should have learned the first time. I just think people should view both sides. It's attractive to have all that money but realistically, I would not want his life!
I agree with Solo, and although I also think he should have known better to continue having kids over I really think in a way he has a deminished capacity because of his upbringing. All this talk about giving the kids wine and stuff.... hey did we not all comsume a little when we were young just to try it out. I know I did and who gave it to me... my neighbor who was 9 years older than me and did not try to molest me (althought I would not have minded - he was cute!). Notwithstanding it is all circumstantial evidence. It is all he said she said.

Anyway... about the pay offs. I do not think most of you understand how much it cost for a person to defend themself in the legal system these days.... I will give you an example... one of the attorneys in my office who is a criminal defense specialist (and Jen can back me up on this one) charges $850 an hour. And he is not even in LA and working for the stars, it is estimated that attorneys to the stars charge in upwards of $1,500 and hour for their services. When you look and the time and expense it will cost to defend a charge, it is most of the time cheaper to just settle out of court.

Another point to ponder.... you have a son... if he comes home one day and says he has been molested by some rich guy and you report it to the police and then try to sue. And the accuser comes and offers you 21M would you take it? Me- F U C K NO... that ass wipe is going to fry. WHAT TYPE OF PARENT LETS THEIR CHILD GROW UP KNOWING THAT "HEY YOU WERE MOLESTED BUT WE GOT 21M OUT OF IT, SO GET OVER IT!"

In my opinion.... He did not molest anyone. And if he did... he will one day meet face to face with his maker.
Cost or no cost to defend oneself.. I would have exhausted every last dime I had. The cheaper way out is not the route to go in this situation.
Whether or not we consumed wine as children is completely irrelevant. WE were the kids. Have you as an adult ever given alcohol (other than cold medication) to a child during a sleepover? If someone did that to your child would you have the same candor?
I am not saying the accusers are model parents. They probably saw a chance for some quick money and took it. By them taking the money it in no way exonerates Mr. Jackson. California inacted a law saying that 2nd time accused child molesters MUST go to trial. No payoffs. You know why that law was inacted? Mr. Beat It himself.
The only thing that is going to save him is the money he has thrown at his legal team. You think OJ was innocent? I haven't seen much on him "looking for the killer of his wife" for the rest of his days as he said he would. I've seen shots of him playing golf.
