Happy friday to all have a safe weekend, and F@$& you DC! - December 18, 2009, 02:38 PM

Just wanted to say Fack you, you stupid ass facktard at the emissions clinic. My truck didn't pass this time around to high on the HC and NoX but your stupid ass didn't help banging through the gears on my auto you moron; that crackling sound from the exhaust when you pulled down on the gear selector from OD to 2nd it's all the unburnt gas trying to ignite because you wont let the ecm do its job helping it run rich....bitch.

And your buddy mashing his foot down to squeal the tires on that worn out taxi cab is a fack tard to; treat peoples property with respect working in a government job means you should have better work ethics and integrity than most but we all know that's not the case.

Sorry needed to vent so once again.

FUCK YOU DC..... FUCK YOU

And to the rest of you merry Xmas and happy holidays.

If anyone knows a cheap place I can hit up a exhaust gas analyzer on the cheap to test my egr valve etc let me know; Does Andrews or FT Myer have one in their auto hobby shops? I don't feel like throwing money in the dark to fix a mystery problem.

EGR and PCV valve - samething? What kinda truck?

retard your timing and you can lower the NO ppm if you failed by a few points.

are you running lean?

make sure you don't have bad O2 sensors or a failing cat.

EGR= Exhaust Gas Recirculator valve. It readmits exhaust steam helping reducing peak combustion chambers and engine emissions. This way, the EGR valve has the Oxides of Nitrogen reduction as its main purpose.
PCV= Positive Crancase Ventilation valve. Sort of like a check valve that allows pressure to escape from under your valve cover (into the intake), but does not allow air to get into the valve cover.

Used to do that shit when I worked at a shop to customer cars but when its cold it can be a gamble.

HC was off by about .4 ppm

CO was about 10 ppm under

Nox was about 2 ppm over

Its a 92 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9

The exhaust has about 40k on it
JBA shorty's, 3" cat, and a Dynomax 3 muffler to 2 3/4" tail

It passed with flying colors with the old exhaust which had a hollow cat but since the cat has been on its been fussy on emissions.

I think I am going to try a new O2 sensor its about that time probably about 40k on this one I suspect it and the egr valve I haven't ever cleaned it and just reset the maintenance reminder light at 120k or so and I have 160k on it now.

I really wish I could say that DC may be different but ok if you just give it more time,... but I can't. I've been here since 2005, and it's just like in the Guttermouth song, A Nice Place to Visit. I can't say it any better myself:

I take a look around
think of places I have been
there really aren't too many
I would like to see again
I've been to 30
8 of 50 states
most of them I'd shut down
3 or 4 of them are great
back on the east coast
dc's a shit hole
you'll freeze to death in JERSEY
but florida's the best
I think I would rather have
prostate cancer
than visit oklahoma
it's those Sooner's I detest
when I see the coast
I'm at home at last
take the Lincoln Monument
and cram it up your ass

I think that's how it should be, but there are a lot of turds on the federal and state payroll; mostly in jobs that are focused on generating revenue, and those positions focused on customer service (ex: DMV Clerks).

And Orangeshirt you hit the head on the nail.
