Exclamation Heading to NC and need some boxes - April 26, 2009, 11:26 AM

Hey .net

So this year I mentioned that I had to find a new job and I did. Looks like I will be working at UNC Chapel Hill. They have extended a good contract to me and the money is to good to pass up for the time being. With that said I wanted to say a few things and ask you all for a little help.

If you have moved recently or have good BOXES please let me know. I need to pack my 1 Bedroom apt and prep for movers. I have a good number of movers blankets but not nearly enough boxes. If you have them I will come pick them up whenever is best for you.

BOXES
BOX TAPE (if you can get a discount or get it cheap lemme know)

Recommendations or info on good movers. I'm still researching.
My previous moves were usually with UHAUL or other rentals. My local move was with Sprint Van Lines and I was not impressed.

If there is a chance I got UHAUL I'd like to know if you'd be willing to help load a truck. (will at least offer food and beers)

Car situation.

Thanks to Sisco of the w u l f no p a k va r y d a z for giving me a free estimate the other morning. SUNOCO in McLean.

I need a new car but for now I just don't need a car note so hopefully I can get the following list of parts and work done.

1998 Dodge Stratus 2.0 / 5 speed

Front and Rear motor mounts
Front rotors and pads
Power steering pump and belt
Outer tie rods ends
Serpentine belt

(Gus that's the list for now)

Finally I would like to say a few things to all of you.

DRESS FOR THE WRECK not a lecture but I would like to see you again

It's been a fun start to the year, I have seen many of you all over town. It's been cool to trade up bike chat and other topics with each of you. Lot's of cool and unique peeps among .net. I'm a little bummed about leaving this group of friends. There are to so many to name however I'd like to thank Clemson Jeeper, Blushin, Salva-T, Widow Maker, DirtyR6, AzPit, RForce1, Totnac, Hokie, Nubbz, Ghost, LE, Hollywood, LZ, BoomBoom, jtatooz, Johnny, Carnage, Venom, Castle, Mrs. Castle, Chris, Guzzler, Simon, Mike Reiser, ALL THE MARRC CREW and more for being there for me along the way.

I've got a little time left and a track day back here so I won't act like I'm not going to see any of you but those that don't get out to the track or the spot its likely I won't for a while. I have all my other friends that don't ride to say goodbye to as well. I start in NC on May 4th.

Ok so lemme know on them boxes!

Lucky you're a great guy...

Wish you all the best!!! Definitely drop .net a line if you ever get UNC/DUKE tix. It's a sporting event on my list that I have yet to cross off!!!!

What do you value more? Life or Image?

I always went to a grocery store for boxes when I move. Usually they break them down, but they'll tell you when to come to get them before they've been torn up. I always get more boxes than I know what to do with, 1 stop, all free.

All the best with your move Lucky!

Lucky, every day here in my building at the NIH there are tons of boxes of all shapes and sizes set out into the hallways for recycling. The reason is that the building is all laboratories, and stuff is being shipped in all the time. Literally, you could fill a vehicle with collapsed boxes in one night. And what's more, they don't cost a cent. If you want to make a run up here to the "thez" (Bethesda), shoot me a pm.

How's my posting? Please direct all concerns and inquiries to DCSBN's chief content manager, Hollywood, via PM.
