Heads Up To DC Commuters - March 10, 2009, 05:21 AM

DC's finest have photo radar set up on outbound New York Ave. towards MD Route 50/BW Pkwy in the afternoons; right by the National Arboretum. A white van with the flash unit on the roof - saw it as I was riding out yestidday.

Good call. It's getting so ridiculous that I'm spending most of my time playing spot the speed scamera rather than paying attention to the road and its more immediate hazards.

I'd seen them there a couple times last year in a regular 'Crown Vic' type sedan. But this new setup, with the flash on the roof - damned thing looked like a freakin' strobe light going off. KaChing! KaChing! KaChing!

I hate moco and dc, those fuckin speed cameras are like tolls to me now, I get one atleast every other month.

The best is when your designated driver blows through 2 in one night in your truck.

My dads gotten it like 3 times from the ones near Wooton High in Rockville, think my mom and me are gonna get him some flippers for his pickup truck. There's 2 sets leaving and entering Pville, lucky I catch myself before flying through them. Fastags looking better and better every day.

+1

I've had the red light camera flash at me twice and I never got the ticket cuz they couldn't zoom onto the plate

As long as it's not hidden so much where cops will yank you for it, I like this option.

That wouldn't be so beneficial if there were actually a cop in the "white van" he's talking about. I'm sure there was no one inside, but there always the "what if?"

True. Didn't think about that... that's when you decide which one of your 2 options to use brake or throttle?

brakes
