Help me find a home. - June 5, 2009, 01:05 PM

I am looking for a 1 bedroom apartment in the Fairfax, Arlington, or Alexandria area. I have no desire to move to Maryland, but I would consider DC. If anyone could recommend a few places that would be great. I would lieketo stay as close to 1000 as possible

The only essentials I must have are...

Balcony or deck
Dishwasher
ample parking
Washer and Dryer in the apt or onsite. Fack a laundromat
Pet friendly

I do like downtown Fairfax, Fair Lakes area, Vienna, Ballston and Old Towne. I just do not know enough about these places to make an educated decision.

I do not care about a garage becuase I have no bike, and when I do get one I will just put it in storage.

Thanks in advance for all your help and useful comments. Please do not spam whore this thread with stupid arguments and meaningless one word posts.

Apartments by Clock Tower in Hendon are good they go high up and right in your price range. Good area because not many people know about the tucked away parts, off coppermine and such. the ones on sunrise are nice my bro lives there and have ample parking!!

Ballston will be out of that price range and not have the parking you want.

I found a couple of places in Ballston for 1187 with off street parking for a real small one bedroom.

Thanks for your help.

Once again, please do not spam

I appreciate the negativity, and the comments that "No way you can find a place like that there" etc. But if I wanted negative resposes I would go try to pick up women at an Alannis Morrissette concert.

Either way. I am finding a lot of places between 900-1100 in those areas, I am hoping some of you have knowlendge on these places. I see lots of places in Columbia Pike, but I am concerned about the area.

DC has some good studios in that range. If I am to go to 1200-1300 for a place I would like it near the metro.

Figured you were talking about parking for guest, by "ample". Friend is in Randolph Towers, said that was the cheapest 1 bed, w/ a W/D and he's paying ~$1,400. He used to live in Ballston Gardens, cross from Rock Bottom. No W/D, he was paying ~$800 then, but that was about 6 yrs ago.

Hey Adrian, my girl Ami just told me today that 3 apts were becoming avail in her building. Has everything you are looking for and I believe in your price range.

The apts are right at Fairfax Circle by Fast Eddie's and the bowliing alley we have done TWT's at.

Give me a ring if you want more info

Columbia Pike is a long stretch, Adrian. Can you me more specific? There are certain parts of C.Pike that are sketchy but there are areas that's not bad as well, especially ones located more toward the Pentagon.
