my dell mini 9 .osx works !!! - May 14, 2009, 09:12 AM

I did the part" A typical install" ... i got all the way through #8 (downloading the 10.5.6 update) and when the computer restarted it said " no OS found " ... how do i get back to the normal mac screen so i can download the AboutThisMac.pkg, then proceed to run DellEFI ..... i downloaded the update using the mini on the net.

Here are the instructions .... i got through #8 but cant start step #9

Sorry, Dave. I just updated mine on both Macs. No problems, but I have my pink zipties and some duct tape here just in case.

Im kinda nervous being a new iMac owner. I have time machine running to an external TB drive though.

Alex, it worked fine on my desktop, but still updating the laptop. If you want to wait until it's finished, I'll post it. However, I'm not using time machine, and not using external drive.
