Hero Cop - May 2, 2010, 09:27 PM

Figured I'd post this in lieu of the recent trend of Cop Bashing.
It's a thankless job and while some are rotten, Police ultimately want to help you.

So posting and talking about actual FACTUAL incidents of police wrongdoings is considered bashing? Not everybody wants to sweep injustice under the rug.

Pointing out only the negative and omitting the positive is bashing.

And exactly WHY are we calling the cop a hero?

Looks to me it was the t-shirt vendor who should be the hero. Maybe you should change the topic title and fix that. Pretty messed up you simply highlight an officer doing a simple job of telling the crowd to move away. Aint that common sense if you think a bomb is there? Obviously the t-shirt vendor doesnt have crowd control.

I mean maybe if he dove into the burning pathfinder after it blew up to save a child then yah a hero...... but break it down..... ALL he did was tell the crowd to move away (again common sense) and get on the radio and call for help........

Hope he doesnt get a medal for something as simple as that

Please give some credit to the Tshirt vendor. He's the one that deserves the praise. Looks like he was the one more alert looking around than police were

Because when something bad does not happen or deterred by the police no one says Thank you. But when something bad happens they always ask where were the police or did they respond fast enough. Much like DHS. Everyone cries that they do not need DHS, or question what we do. No one really hears about what we do prevent.

Aren't you LE, or claim to be? You would know that if you were.

Read the article.

Would you stick around near a bomb to help evacuate people, or get to a safe distance?

You have some serious issues with police, and I definitely do not believe you are one. You cannot even acknowledge that they helped people when it is plain and simple they do.
