Well, several times I thought I'd be eating crow. There were portions of that game when VT looked great, like with their running game in the 2nd half. Meanwhile, Kansas couldn't sustain a drive for nothing. That last VT TD catch was awesome. But alas,...

Did you see that the cooler dump was stopped? Surely Mangino's heart won't take the shock. Probably by physician's order.

our starting running back was out the first quarter, we would have won otherwise

interceptions run back for touchdowns dont help either

Ore did put on a show once he got in. VT clearly had the tighter, more powerful offense.

I don't know what game you all were watching but VT was VT. Inconsistent, bad coaching decisions and play calling; neither QB was impressive. The Jayhawks however proved they should have been in that National title game. It's unfortunate the BIG 12 has so many teams this year that ended up knocking eachother off the top spot (Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas)

Yeah sorry to hear about VT...they did look like azz. I guess they all can't be as great as my WVU Mountaineers now that Fraudriguez is gone.

17 points off interceptions, a missed and a blocked FG. Bad play calling. Why we forced the throw I dont know, we were running extremely well.

Kansas did not show why they should have played for a NC, Kansas didnt look good to me. VT blew it. VT needs a offensive coordinator who will work with VTs strengths.

IMHO both teams looked horrible! Neither one looked like they should have been in a bowl game as both had issues on offense and defense with simple basics like catching and tackling. But it was amusing to watch as both teams kept making stupid decisions and the refs were constantly throwing flags.

I thought Kansas looked dominant in the second half. The first half was close but KU just laid the smack down. I cut off the game at 6 mins left in the 4th qtr since KU was up by 20+ and VT didn't look like there were going to make moves to catch up.

I really thought that KU looked like a National Champ contender

Either way my Buckeyes are in the big game!

That game wasn't over until within the last 2 minutes. I hated how the coverage started wrapping up with KU on top at like 12 minutes to go. VT was fighting to the end and wasn't giving up, and I respect that. It certainly wasn't pretty but was exciting nonetheless.

So Kansas pretty much came out of nowhere, and I remember when Mangino started and there were rumors of scandals and all kinds of stuff. They've come a long way in his 6 years. I'm glad to see my basketball school make a showing on the gridiron. Wonder what next year will be like.
