I make no excuses. I have a curious nature and a voracious appetite for knowledge about just about everything. A mind that can warehouse anecdotal minuiat about everything it picks up and for some reasons refuses to purge it.

Had it since I was kid. Mom told me the worst thing on this planet was a blissfully ignorant followed by a willfully ignorant negro - for better or worse, I took it to heart.

I would check out stacks of books from the library at a time. Join clubs. Look at maps and plot bike rides to towns I probably had no business in.
If I didn't know, I want to know. If I know, I want to understand. If I understand, I want to be proficient. And if I'm proficient, I want to master.

Doesn't help that I have near chronic insomnia which keeps me up to at least 2-3am every morning reading & watching. Stop by one morning at 1am. I'll probably have my laptop open, BBC on TV, and reading WSJ on my tablet, while mucking around on my iPhone.

If I could find just ONE thing to focus on - just ONE great passion, my god, I would be probably much happier. In an odd way, I sort of envy light Aspergers suffers - they are extremely interested and deeply proficient in one or two things and could care less about anything else.

For the record, my knowledge base and life experiences are generally enough to get you stabilized in triage but you don't want me doing heart surgery on you. But I'm one hell of an entertaining cat at parties and will never not have an opinion on something.

Sniff sniff ... awwww fuck you Rob. You made me open up and get all emotional.

That area of life is covered.

Looking for a possible wife candidate in the next 3-4 years. Possibly.

Thus the name: 'Heist', he jacks all trades..?

At any rate, Heist-bot's affliction has contributed a great deal to this site.
