HOLY F I HATE VERIZON FIOS CUSTOMER SERVICE - August 21, 2013, 11:40 AM

These people suck my balls. Fuck those mother fuckers. How many mfers can they pass you to in a single call that CAN'T help you fix your issue???? The answer is infinite. They have no shortage of fucking retards in there.

I was on the phone for 2 hours and 20 minutes the other day. 2 FUCKING HOURS trying to get my bill fixed and a new dvr multiroom box sent to my house. Then they never send the box. Its just unbelieveable. The incompetence, the terrible systems they use that take forever to load, ugh.

THen I get on instant chat today to ask where my fin box is. I get passed to 3 different dumbass, and then the last dipshit HANGS UP ON ME! I WILL CUT YOU MOTHER FUCKERS! I WILL GO POSTAL! WHY IS THIS SO HARD???????

FUCK YOU VERIZON FIOS.

Wow, last time I had to deal with them it was an absolute breeze, literally ended up talking to the guy while we waited about blueberry waffles, even asked to speak to his manager afterwards to report my satisfaction.

Has been a year though, maybe a new system they are using now.

I have had a similar experience with FIOS where first they sent me a defective set-top box and only the modem instead of the modem / router combo.

FIOS tech came out to investigate. Takes old devices, leaves new equipment. However, not only did he leave me a DVR box, which I did NOT want and looked like it had been thrown down a gravel road, he left me an older router which couldn't stand bookend style and didn't log the old equipment back into inventory.

The following month I received a bill for $140 more than normal. My blood pressure pinned the needle.

After a 40 minute merry go round of automated systems and live operators, I hung up - threw all the equipment in a bag and drive down to a Verizon store.

Best solution: they were able to get direct access to techs and sort out the missing equipment and exchanged and activated brand new most up-to-date boxes and routers, and gave me an equipment exchange receipt.

Stay far away from Verizon FIOS. FIOS is all a scam IMO.

I had TV/Internet combo at my home for 6 months before I pulled the plug on the TV programming and made the switch to DirectTV. Right now, I am working on cutting off their internet service too. Looking to join Cox.

While I had the TV programming for 5-6 months, more than half of time, my HD channels did not even work or they were all pixelated. I missed a game or two of NBA Finals because ABC channel both HD and non HD simply would not show up. Customer service put me through so much BS that I simply gave up and they did not care. I went through 3 different TV Set Top boxes.. That shit dont happen with other providers.

Also, their internet is mediocre - I thought FIOS was supposed to mean Fiber Optics. But the way I see it at my home, my internet is purely a cable internet - not Fios because I dont see a single Fiber optics wire coming to my router. I may be misinformed, but my internet is far from 25/50 MBPS as claimed by Verizon.

25/50 is a peak number, like the output on a stereo.

No one, and I mean no one will bring fiber in to your house, fiber is run to a junction box as a back bone to a neighborhood, or building, etc. Copper (coax) to/in your home is not the bottle neck.

Surprisingly I have been actually relatively happy with AT&T Uverse.

But I know how you feel. I was about to grab my AK and go postal on Time Warner in TX a few years ago.

I know it is the peak numbers, but still their actual numbers are MEDIOCRE.

You dont think the co-ax into my home is not the bottle neck? If not then what the fuck is so great about fiber optics?! I actually liked my DSL service much better.
