How To Do Non-Op Status? - August 15, 2008, 05:45 AM

I am selling my '07 GSX-R750 and have heard of people getting their vehicles put on 'non-op' status with the DMV and insurance companies to save money while they are waiting for the vehicle to sell.

What exactly is 'non-op' status and how would I go about getting it for this bike? Would it make the bike difficult to register for the buyer or introduce any other difficulties to the sale?

-Thanks!

But make sure to do it in that order.

Also, depending on your storage situation, keep in mind the potential for theft.
