How do you say you are sorry !!!! - September 24, 2006, 05:26 AM

So I need your help !!!!

I know this person that doesn't know how to say they are sorry.

Why don't you help them out and give examples of what you have done in the past to make it up to that special someone.

Some examples:
Do you say those three simple words "I Am Sorry" without sarcasm?
Do you treat them like you never have before?
Do you buy them something extra special?
Do you bring them candy, jewelry, flowers knowing that will break the ice?
Do you make them breakfast in bed, or maybe dinner?
Do you take them out for a night on the town?
Do you learn from your mistake so that you will not make it again in the future?
Do you make them feel like they are the only person in the world that matters?

The greatest gift you can give in an apology is SINCERITY. Flowers, Candy, Jewelry often can be seen as camoflauge. You want somebody to know you are sorry then just tell them. AND MEAN IT!

You have to always be willing to put everything else aside and show the person kindness. I feel that if you have hurt someone, you have also hurt yourself. You risk the chance of losing this person forever. Life is way to short to lose the people you care the most about.

Ultimately, the worst you can do is say you are sorry, and then commit the act again. It will make your apology seem insincere and as if you do not care. The best medicine for mistakes made is time, and prove that it will not happen again. Flowers are nice and all... but DON'T get someone flowers because you are sorry. Get them a week or two later, JUST BECAUSE! Acts of thoughtfulness mean a lot to most people.

First thing...you must have really screwed up somewhere. Second thing.. sorrys can be tricky. Alot of it depends on the person you are apologizing to. Best way I've found is say it once mean it and then live with the agony til they come back around and dont do it again. On the flowers, not always a good idea, especially if you wait. because that could be taken as "ok what happened NOW". In my current situation I cant even buy real flowers. She takens that as, "The flowers are gonna die in a couple of days is that the way your feelings are too."

Just food for thought....

Buy 11 roses and 1 fake rose. Tell her when the last flower dies, your feelings for her do as well.

See what happens after a few days.

Oh holy crap... My daughter's boyfriend did that when she was 15!!! I told her that was one of the worst lines I'd ever heard! I also told her guys buy roses cause they don't know you well enough to know what flowers you'd really like! She didn't keep him around too long. Christ guys, get a better line than that $hit!!! At least do not try and pull that off if you are over the age of 16. Hell, it didn't even work then.
