How Do You Sign Someone Up For As Much Spam As Possible? - December 14, 2011, 03:52 PM

I want it all. NAMBLA, Right Wing Nut Case Newsletters, Militia Crap, Viagra Offers ... everything.

I have asked this individual on three occasions to please remove me from their business's email updates, their teams achievements, and go go ra ra goals nonsense. It's some join my B.S. network marketing (see pyramid scheme) malarky.

First time, they apologized and said they would remove me.
The 2nd reminder, they apologized and said they forgot. Now I'm done asking. I'm just going to sign them up for every goddamn crazy piece of internet literature I can find.

Or you could just put them on your email ignore/spam list

Funny enough, I tired this. The problem is every time one of her jacknut millionaire delusional minion responds, I'm copied because the dimwits have not quite figured out that REPLY TO ALL is not the appropriate button to use.

Dumb ish like:
"Could you help us out with our business XXX? We're trying to qualify for a trip to Orlando this January and, this time around, it is our associates customer count that'll get us there.

Go team! We're on Fire. See you in Orlando! "

You know there is like a $10,000 fine for each instance a company doesnt comply with a request to be removed from a email list.

Websites, cards in magazines, sign them up for everything. I *heard* about some guy that got signed up as a democrat, republican, independant, religous right/left/center, athiest, gay, porn hound, etc.

I figure his mailbox was pretty interesting for a few years.

Nothing that can be tracked back to you. Best that way I hear.

Oh. Track them back to their service provider. Complain about spam from their internet address. Show proof that you have requested them to stop. (And that you will now have to hold the provider responsible.) That might help get them shut down quickly.

1) Get a free Yahoo account and disable all the spam filters. You want everything to go to the inbox.

2) Use that account to sign up for newsletters and updates from sites like 123greetings.com, amazon.com, coupons.com, findlaw.com, etc. Also places that advertise free stuff are good, e.g. free IPod's, smart phones, kindles, etc.

3) Once that account is receiving an appropriate number of emails each day, have it auto-forward to the cretin's email address.

but seriously I'd make sure you keep the emails asking to be off the list and threaten to turn them in.

On a sort of related note, there is app/service coming out that will kill unwanted email subscriptions with the click of a button and can handle unsubscribing to all of them at once.

Quote:
Currently in beta, Unroll.me works with Gmail, Aol Mail, Windows Live Mail, and Yahoo! Mail. It crawls through your email inbox then presents you with a list of all your subscriptions. Select the ones you don't want to receive anymore, click Unsubscribe, and Unroll.me handles the rest.
Can sign-up for an invite here: UnrollMe - Unroll.Me is an email unsubscribe engine that allows you to unsubscribe from unwanted emails in bulk! Sign up for an early invite & tell your friends!
