Hurricane Irene - August 26, 2011, 11:47 AM

Just a place holder for the eventual aftermath thread ....

Important Utility Numbers:

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

- Nicolo Machiavelli 1469-1527

For you guys with motorcycles outside and no sheltered storage area, unless you have a wall or something sturdy to place them against, you may want to preemptively lay the bike down on its side if you see the winds gust are strong enough to induce a tip-over.

The branch that hits it will take care of what the wind won't.

Wheel it to the local corporate parking garage, they are empty on weekends

That's very generous of them.
Please note, do not use these to cover your M/C. That is unless you want to see it become a sail and turn your bike on its side.
