Pop Quiz: You share a house with a couple other people. Let's say you went out of town for 10 days and when you returned, you found obvious signs of some goldie locks action in your personal, private space. Your bathroom trash can has been emptied, your bath mat has a smudge and some toothpaste spit on it that you know wasn't there when you left because your a neat, tidy person, and your bed has been made up much differently than you make your bed. You notice in your tears of anger that other things are different and out of place. You also know that one of the housemates was expecting some family to visit while you were away. The suspect is asleep. You're furious, it's 12:30 a.m., you're jet-lagged after a 5-hour flight and in need of sleep so you can get up for work in just a few short hours. WHAT DO YOU DO?!!!

i would say honesty is key, if they are not being honest with you and arent telling you the truth about what happend, give them 30 days and find somone else. the most important thing with roomates is being honest. you can always work through the stupid shit if everyone is honest about what is going on.

now if they are honest but continue to do it, that is another issue, and you should still get rid of them.

its hard to find good trustworthy roomates.

I'd be livid! Confront him and if he doesn't apologize and make up for the super inconvenience and nastiness of it, time to look for either a new roomate or solo living situation.
