I cant stand my cell phone anymore! - April 3, 2006, 03:31 PM

NEXTEL is DRIVING me CRAZY! Has anyone noticed that NEXTEl is dropping a LOT more calls? I cant get through the day without at least 3 or 4 more dropped calls.

I think I am just going to bite the bullet and go back to Verizon...

Check with Verizon - more expensive but you'll rarely have a reception problem. Edit - didn't see you already knew that. Hahaha. My friend's Nextel no matter where he is you get the "please hold while we locate the blah blah." Sucks.

Amen Johnny, way to keep ahead of the game brother!

Scorpion - Switch to Verizon. I had Sprint for a while, kept dropping my calls. Verizon - No problems.

I've had Cingular for about a year and I've been really happy. It even works in the boonies of WV! I don't get dropped calls anymore.

And I've had Verizon, Nextel, Tmobile, ATT....

Cingular for about 4 years... I discovered that Verizon has these weird dead spots all over the place... great coverage EVERYWHERE... then nothing. Cingular just has weak area's, then again Altel is the only thing that works in Ohio, so verizon has them out there. Verizon or Cingular are the only options, but I have like 6 phones, I like switching out sims and carrying different phones, cant do that with Verizon.

Go with cingular...I've had them for 2 years and it rarely drops a call. I have Nextel with work and I hate having to use that service...drops at least 6 calls a day.

Cingular or Verizon. Verizon has reception in subways and Cingular has reception in the boonies as mentioned already. Both good carriers.
