Lost hikers die in car accident after being rescued | HLNtv.com

Short story, two chicks (one pregger) and a dog manage to get to get lost on a trail, call for help, dude in a truck finds em and takes em to a house where Rangers have to pick them up and drive them to their car.

Later they manage to drive a vehicle off a boat ramp and end up 175ft out into a lake, call for help, but don't manage to get out of the car and swim to safety.

Both die, don't know what happened to the poor dog, hopefully his ass found an open window cause at least dogs have the sense to swim to safety.

You're in a first world country, ladies, and apparently we've managed to breed out directional sense and the ability to flounder in water to safety. Very good at calling for help. And how the hell do you manage ONE HUNDO AND SEVENTY-FIVE FEET into a lake, brake much? Maybe schools should teach less 911 and more basic survival and swimming?

I read the dog was found dead in the car too.

USA today article mentioned heavy storm and extreme fog. Driver made a left instead of a right and ended up in the water.

So, since this isn't motorcycles, am I good to comment on the bad choices involved?

Someone get ahold of the forum death police and ask them if its ok

In looking at the map - Two lost hikers rescued, later die in car accident | Local News - WMTW Home - it seem you would have to be cooking to get that far out... 175ft INTO water is no easy task without a bunch of elevation.

So these nitwits called someone on a cell phone to let them know that they drove into water, rather than start kicking out windows to get to safety?

God I hope they didn't reproduce

Nation of fucking idiots. Good riddance

Two fathers lost their daughters and one father-to-be lost his child....and you guys have the gall to judge like this?

Thankfully Nelson Mandela said it best and calms my troubled soul at times like these:

Why does the Nelson Mandela quote have Ghandi's head next to it?

o rly?

I figured I'd throw him some cred since he's reduced to watching the Kardarshians 24/7 but Mahatma is just so much more quote-worthy when it comes to humanity. Serious about the fathers' losses but wanting to impede a typical .net tailspin.
