Talking I need a GoPro HD Hero2 receipt. - June 29, 2012, 09:21 AM

As many of you know, I have (had?) a GoPro HD Hero2. I recently tried one of their sticky mounts on my helmet and that #$&*$^% flew off while riding. I contacted GoPro and they said the best they can do is offer a discount on a new one. However, I need a receipt to do this. Mine is LONG gone.

Does anyone have a receipt they wouldn't mind scanning and letting me use? PM me and I'll be forever grateful.

I don't have a receipt for you, but my sticky mounts have held fine up to 130+.

Did you give the adhesive time to set up?

No, I did not. I was with someone who gave me some incorrect information regarding set up time and I just went with it. Bad idea. I think I let it set up for two hours. GoPro recommends 24 hours.

Still pissed I lost that footage :/

Yea, man. Bummer for sure.

I gave mine a solid 12 or so hours with pressure from some rubber bands. Holds like cement.

Good luck finding a receipt.

This is good news. I had the screw back out that holds the camera case on earlier this week. I had the main suction cup part of the mount safety wired, of course. I may look into a way to wire the camera mount in the future.

How much of a discount?

I can't find out until I email them back with a receipt. Then they will give me the one-time use discount code.

I'm fairly certain it didn't set properly. I used the curved mount for the curved top portion of my helmet (Corsair V, in pretty much the only spot on top that makes sense). I don't blame GoPro; I should have read up on the mounting procedure before I just slapped it on and took off.

Still looking for a receipt if anyone has one

Go some place that sells them, bestbuy maybe?
Find a cool associate, ask them to sell it as cash then do a post void, you have the receipt, their system voids it out so none the wiser.

Wouldn't the date still be on there? Or am I supposed to PS the date using this method too?

I just thought someone would have one lying around considering all of the guys here using them.

I may, MAY have the receipt from the one I bought my dad for Xmas.

Also, I wonder if you have an account and bought something on your Best Buy card, if you could go back and ask them to print you a copy of the receipt/proof of purchase.

Yeah, they track purchases over like $100 a believe like most retail stores. You should be able to walk into anyone and they can look it up with your phone # or credit card info.

It's on that thermal paper, you could easily make the receipt look a little faded over the date......
