I need a new laptop - quick - March 13, 2009, 08:27 AM

I need to pick up a laptop today. Anywhere else to get one besides g-damn Best Buy? I know, I should just order one online, but I'm leavng for a trip on Monday and need it for that trip.

A) what do you guys recommend? I'm not a MAC guy.

B) if I did wait to get it and order online, where's the best deal?

Thoughts? Anyone with a hook up?

How good of one do you need? Dell is having a sale on their Inspiron (15xx or something).

Is not a gaming laptop blah blah.. but has the ram, processor and HDD enough to get ya going.

*sigh*

I have no input on which laptop to get, I'm not really a big laptop guru, but you can always try microcenter instead of best buy.

The Inspiron 15 might be okay, its cheap, for sure. I hear they have quite a bit of issues though, particularly with the disc eject button locking up the system when you try to remove a cd/dvd. Plus, I dont like that they made the palmrest glossy - shows off every smudge/fingerprint and just looks tacky to me. If you can score a 1525 off the shelf somewhere, definitely pick it up (its the Inspiron 15's predecessor and a much better system, IMO)
