Oh shit! Had I been one of the owners, it would have taken every ounce of will power not to slap fire out her ass.

I wonder if she yelled, "Banzaaaaaiiiii" as she went over the hedge on her kamakazi attack.

Fyi- a Lemans is a real car... it is it's own model... not a fake GTO.

Kind of like a YZF600 is a real motorcycle... not a fake R6.

They are different models

And why airbags didnt deploy. Looks almost like she caught enough air and came down in to the Pontiac through the windows.

Good eye. Both should have popped.
Which leads me to believe this car may be one of those crash repaired cars done by an "off brand" chop shop where they just made it look like new but didn't replace the bags.
It wouldn't be the first time I've seen something like this.

There is no guarantee that a head-on will pop airbags. There are a number of contributing factors to airbag deployment... not just speed. The angle, speed, impact, momentum, all kinds of things. I have seen pop on low speed stuff, and I have seen no bags on high speed wrecks. You never know. The car knows if you will be better off with a 120mph bag inflating rapidly into your face, or if just your seat belt will work.

or just drifting with no impact will set them off supposedly...

and the bumper on that lex looks fairly solid and depending on where the airbag sensors are.....

it crazy how much damage was done to american steel from japanese plastic

If the Pontiac has broadsided the Lexus, it would have been similarly totaled. I hope the Pontiac owner has a good insurance policy, tailored for anique cars. Here, insurance company will pay only blue book, which falls way short of what a preserved or restored classic costs.

But this in no way absolves the Rexus driver of paying the difference.

I would be sick to my stomach. Can you imagine...you spend YEARS restoring a car. You finally get it in parking lot showroom condition and WHAM....Some old lady in a Lexus fucking totals it!
