If you purchase Title II firearms on a trust READ - August 30, 2013, 12:04 PM

ATF finally released proposed rulemaking and it's bad. Trusts and corps must submit fingerprints and photos for all responsible persons, with CLEO signoff expanding to include them as well as for individuals.

Comment period is for 90 days so I would suggest that 1) you provide comments, and 2) if you're using a trust to get around an unfriendly CLEO then start your F1 or F4 on any toys you want ASAP.

See pg 12-16 and 20-22:

Each player must accept the cards life deals him or her, but once they are in hand, he alone must decide how to play the cards in order to win the game.

Well that sucks. Are we going to have to pay $200 for each transfer to move them out of the trust or corp?

Anything already in a trust/corp or even where the F1/F4 is in the pipeline would be ok, it's only transfers that start once the new rules go into affect where the new procedures would apply - hence my advice to get started ASAP if you were kicking around the idea of starting a F1 or F4.
