ALL MY HEROES ARE RUSSIAN...GO CAPS!

Well you see, Norm, it’s like this…A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.-Cliff Claven

If you're getting the new one DO NOT trade in your old HD!

You can't copy the back-up from your PC b/c Microcunt changed the connector and they haven't released the new transfer cable yet.

Thanks for the link, not sure if I'll trade mine in or not, have to see what the prices on ebay are might get more selling it. I have the Pro with 20GB, but don't download much so far, so not sure I even want to upgrade.

If you tradein to gamestop.. they are running a special.

◦Systems (since they are stand alone) will trade in for $100 -need your controller and av cables/power
◦20gb HDD – $30
◦60gb HDD – $35
◦120gb HDD – $40
◦250gb HDD – $50
◦64mb Memory Cards – $10
◦256mb Memory Cards – $14
◦512mb Memory Cards – $18
◦Wireless adapter (original) – $40
◦Wireless N adapter – $50
◦Wired Controller – $20
◦Wireless Controller – $25 - if you trade in a wireless controller with a charge pack you have to trade in the cord with it.

***and a $25 bonus if you trade in ANY current gen console before June 27th.***

I'm looking at about $269 in store credit towards a new $299 360 Slim. Thats for trading in my 3 year old Elite (expired warranty), extra white wireless controller, 120gig HDD, original WiFi adapter, 256mb mem card, $25 bonus, $25 for Red Dead Redemption game.

For $30 to upgrade a Gamestop I get:

1) A new 360 system, with new controller & new cables
2) New 3 year warranty
3) Much less noise
4) Much less heat
5) 50% less power draw on my electric bill
6) WiFi-N (internal)
7) 250gb Harddrive
Toshlink Optical Out (no more dongle needed)
9) Kinect ready
10) 5 USB ports
12) Touch senstive buttons
13) Dimmer green Xbox "on" light (trust me when watching movies in the dark, the old one is annoying)
14) Smaller console & powerbrick which helps for transporting. Especially when going thru the airport security line.

There are a couple of companies that make entertainment units that include built in fans to circulate air, and have perforated metal sections on the pull out shelfs to allow for circulation and prevent heat damage to wood.

These are gaming super computers, with high end graphics cards, not Atari pong units, treat them as such.

I wonder if they'll check the warranty sticker.... considering I hacked mine apart to fix the RRoD and put nuts/bolts/washers to pull the heatsink onto the CPU/GPU...

Hmmmmm....

These must be hard to find, I see idiots paying $350 or more on ebay and some sellers with buy it now's of $500!!! Seriously, are people that stupid or need to have the latest fashion as to pay $100 over retail for a revised version of something they already own? I'm over here debating rather it's worth trading mine in and dropping another $150 on the difference and I don't see the value in doing so. That $150 would buy me the Kinect or something else.
