I fully understand that in order for this to work that many of the document and taxation violations must be waived, but the misdemeanor, DWI, and domestic violence ones as well....?

Wondering when I get my pass? Food stamps, don't have to pay for hospital services, or ESOL. Have always paid my taxes, paid my bills, my tickets when I got popped by the popo...

But letting thousands walk free w/o repercussion is just wrong in so many ways. If the roles were reversed and I crossed the border into Mexico or any of the other Latin American countries what would happen to me?

It is a problem, some will have to get off scot-free. But border security has to come first!
