An interesting video - November 6, 2006, 12:35 PM

http://www.videocodezone.com/videos/d/disturbed/land_of_confusion.html

Disturbed - Land of Confusion

Catchy song, I'm not a fan of disturbed but I leave the channel when this song comes on. I'm even more impressed now that I've seen it's accompanying video.

Tanya sent this to me.

Thoughts?

It differs slightly from my James Blunt, Ryan Cabrera tastes, but I like it.

Holy Crap! That's a cover of Genisis/Phil Collins "Land of Confusion". You "kids" are probably too young to remember but this was one of my favorate songs in High School. Not sure which version I like better through. That vid is pretty cool.

I don't like disturbed because he does that throat clearing shit and it bugs me... I just find it off-putting. And a lot of the music is the same...

Anyway, I was more curious about the content of the video. It's obvious that it depicts the current world situation. America, Britain, Japan, Germany, etc.

I found it interesting.

I don't agree with that video at all. It is entirely wrong.

I heard a radio interview of him a few years ago and i was impressed. He's extremely well spoken and very intelligent.

From the Wikipedia entry:
He is one of five artists who sang for the Queen of the Damned soundtrack, along with Wayne Static of Static-X, Jay Gordon of Orgy, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, and Marilyn Manson. He originally left his family and beliefs behind to become a rockstar, which upset his grandfather (who was also a Holocaust survivor), and further produced the album Believe as a response to his grandfather's death. He has since gone back to the Jewish faith which delighted the rest of his family. He attended Loyola University where he triple majored in Business Administration, Political Science, and Philosophy. He was seriously considering law school before he joined the band, which he discovered in an ad in the paper. In 2003 he also started his own record label, Intoxication Records, along with band member/guitarist, Dan Donegan, and drummer, Mike Wengren.

Diturbed is a terrible band and they make terrible music, in my opinion. This video is a rip off of pearl jams "Evolution" video. Its in the same vain but you can tell this one was conceived and executed by someone not too sharp. Basically its 14 year old anger rock, Amerikka sux and I wish my grandma would stop throwing away my Anime.

Well not everyone likes the same music. I like Disturbed. They do some throat clearing like ben says but it doesnt annoy me.
