ISO: Camera stuff... Canon/Sigma - October 23, 2009, 05:03 PM

Looking for this combo of body and lens..

Sigma constant 2.8 aperture (28-70mm) lens

Canon EOS 40d Body

Can anyone help me find these at a decent price?? Doesn't have to be new.

Flea bay. It's been discontinued.

BTW, I have the Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 EX DG. Nice lens (especially for the money you can pick one up used for). It has noticable distortion at 28mm and a little subject to flaring. But all in all it's the lens that is usually mounted on the camera. If I broke it I'd buy another.

Buying used camera stuff on E-bay might not be the best route either.... my family and I were getting professional pics done last time we were in Maui. The photographer we hired dropped something in the parking lot that was probably expensive and made some comment about putting it on E-bay... LOL.

I'd like some nice glass for my Rebel XT... my girls do competitive cheer leading so having something that would zoom and shoot in low light conditions would be cool. Something like a 70-200mm f2.8 would probably do the trick... think Sigma & Canon make this lens.

Good luck with your camera equipment search.
