I am thinking about expanding my family to include a Rottie puppy. I contacted the NoVA Rottweiler Rescue to no avail. They are non responsive. Does anyone know who may be selling puppies at a REASONABLE price? I don't care about papers or anything, but I'm not trying to spend an arm and leg for this expansion. Just thought I'd put it out there. Thanks!

keep an eye on the shelters. its kind of a bitch to adopt a "bully breed" but they get a lot of them in.

watch the papers, too. Washington Post has a pretty large pets section on the weekends.

Thanks. I tried both of those already. The Washington Post has some for $750!! I don't want one THAT bad. They're a "bully" breed? I have a Doberman and they are far too over-rated as being Devil dogs! Thanks for responding though!

First one is not adults but they are worth a look.

Also, stay after those rescue leagues. People that work there are highly overworked and not compensated so they must maintain gainful employment for income. They are super busy and overworked but if you call a couple of times they will get back to you.

Plenty of great adult dogs need adoption as well.

PAL is very good as well. They meet at the Woodbridge Petsmart and I have adopted a couple of their mutts and couldn't be happier. Sweetest dogs are the ones that get rescued.

I agree with the rescue. I got my Dobie from DAR&E (Doberman, Assistance, Rescue & Education) whom which I volunteered. I didn't foster any dogs, but I did the home visits and placed dogs. I agree with you on all of that, but this time I want to begin with a puppy. My Dobe is (about) 8 and I have had her for 4 years and don't regret it at all.

Thanks for the links. I'll go check it out.

You know the drill then. Rescuers are horribly overloaded. Stay on top of them. I am sure there are plenty or Rotty pups out there. I was at Petsmart over the weekend and there were at least 20 pups of mixed breeds.

Thanks for the info but that one is too old. I want a baby. I have an 8 year old Dobie who would transition better with a baby than an older male dog. Keep an eye out for me though.

Read up on them so you know what to look for in terms of behavior and heath. Even if you get a pup.

I will check the PWC shelter this weekend and report back. Karli and I have two Rotts so if they have some pups I'll play with them and give you some info as far as their temperament.

I'm on it! Now if I can just get through this without adding another dog to the pack I may have sneak out without Karli
