It's price makes a Rolex look ghetto - June 18, 2007, 03:59 PM

I used to wear a Rolex Submariner but sold it. Too big, flashy, and cost a bit of money every-other-year to service. So every once-in-awhile I get the urge to purchase another nice watch (don't think I ever will -- but it's fun to look)

Today I found what is perhaps the largest waste of money in the pursuit of knowing the correct time.

Damn. I don't think I could ever justify spending that much money on something that I would damage in about 5 minutes.

if you can afford to spend that much on a freaking watch you should be donating at least twice that much to the national debt!

All that ugliness for the cost of a house.

I don't even wear a watch, just reminds me that i'm getting older, and older, and older.....

(you get the picture)

Oh man I needed that - thanks Shawn.

Seriously though - I own a Casio G-shock which I wear with suits and to work when stateside. When told it doesn't quite "make the man" my answer is it's survived Iraq, Qatar, and now Afghanistan, where's yours been??

385k ON SALE for a "timepiece???" Better come with a complimentary trio of hot Brazilian women. Not that it's not a nice watch, I was just never able to pull off the whole "leather band" look due to my tiny woman wrists.

04 600RR - SOLD

I've had one for 6 years, and its still as shiny as the day I bought it, and that includes purposefully rubbing on concrete, files, engines, etc.

true, its not as expensive or flashy as a rolex, but hey, it will look nice forever

If you're going to play a snob, at least spell it correctly.

It's Audemars Piguet
