finally did the suspension on the jeep, lifted 4", new springs, shocks, stabilizer, and quick disconnects for offroading... 33" tires on aluminum rims looks like whole new veh.. took about 5.5 hrs all came apart with no probs...

Hey your rear is squating so when you load it up to off road it will rub those tires! I think you need to put a 1 to 2 inch body lift to run 33's on that jeep! I would also check for a bent rear axle as to why the rear my be sitting low. Also if you do a body lift I would drop the transfer case 1 inch also to help with driveline angles.

Yes it is squatting in the left rear because i tightened the track bar with the jeep in the air, i need to loosen it and retighten it with the weight of the veh on it and it will straighten out....

Its an 87 with 44k original miles bough from an old man that drove it about 2k a yr

now you need to get a locker and a winch

a lift kit isnt that hard to put on the hardest problem I had is the exhaust hit one of the new shocks we had to do somethin I dont really remember what we did

yea it was a breeze, we worried more about stuff rusted etc and breaking parts coming off. this thing still had original brakes. (clips still on rotors and drums) and the shock bodies were almost rusted completely away but other than that it was basically rust free. and yea lockers, and bumpers with winch mount is coming soon. its a project in the works for my boy when he gets old enough. it will be painted, all new interior etc... fun fun
