The venue itself is fine. Decent sightlines from the lawn. Decent acoustics.

Parking is a total pain, which is why I don't like it. You pretty much get siphoned into one exit at the end of concerts which turns the parking lot into...well, a parking lot, but with idling cars and frustrated, anxious drivers.

This is why I prefer Merriweather. For some reason, it never takes more than 5 minutes to get out of Merriweather's parking lot and onto the road.

That said, I'd rather catch a show a Jiffy Lube Live than at RFK, where I'm going for the DC101 Chili Cookoff...

1. Parking - 30 minutes entry, 1.5 hour+ exit
2. Its in Virginia, and 66 is a goddam nightmare 24/7.
3. Overpriced compared to other venues (I DO pay attention to beer prices)
4. PW County cops. Nuff said.
5. Its in Virginia.

Merriweather much better, parking at the mall, mall is right there to avoid paying $80 for goddam food.

RFK - sweet. In da city. Metro access.

Wolftrap- BYOB. Yup, BYOB. Its still in Virginia though

Warped tours gonna be at Merriweather. Guess they got sick of Nissans BS.

Would a bike eliminate the exiting problem?

'Course!
It makes a huge difference.
I did security there a couple yrs. ago. In and out, no problem.
Then again, we had reserved, sectioned off parking.
Got to cohort w/ Gwen Stefani for a few Thats the only reason I worked there that season.

VIP Parking passes are worth the money. My family has a box at the Lube and we get VIP parking and VIP center passes. No other way to go. Just one time pay the extra fee for parking or the VIP Center and you'll never look back. I'll be there this Thursday night!

I live 3 miles from the place so I can hear the concerts sometimes from my deck, and my beer is fresh and cheaper. I agree, get there early, park on the grass, drive right off. The name is tarded though.
