I finally got my birth certificate in the mail today! When I saw it in my hands I literally jumped up and down like a 15 year old girl who just won Brittney Spears tickets. Oh man I was so happy.

For those that don't know, I've still got my California lisence because Virginia requires you to have a birth certificate or a passport to obtain a Virginia lisence if its the first time you've been issued a VA license. Well, I've got neiter, never had a passport and my mom lost my birth certificate about 6 years ago (thanks mom ). And NO, you can't use anything else like a Social Security Card. You must have all that other crap and a birth certificate or passport.

So, I've been fighting with California's office of Vital Records and another company that claims to get your records in a matter of days. Finally, 5 months later I got my birth certificate in the mail. Keep in mind that California claims 4-6 weeks for delivery.

So yeah, now I can register my car, bike and truck. The car and bike's tags expired in July 2003 and my truck doesn't even have tags. I'll be at Fair Oaks DMV tapping on the door saying, "Open Open Open" tomorrow. I'm so happy/releived. No I can ride out west without fear of getting pulled over for this.

Had to share,
_Steve

Well I just got done with the whole thing. I had to get my car to pass emissions this morning and the damn mechanic wouldn't even test my car because he said my "PVC" system wasn't hooked up. Having torn that car apart and rebuilt it many times, I had to take him to school on PCV systems real quick, and sure enough once he ran it, it past with flying colors!

So I rolled over to DMV, got everything squared away except for my car. My dad co-signed on it back in the day when I bought it and now I have to get him to sign the title over to me, amoung other options, before I can get the damn car registered.

The best news of the day was that I didn't have to pay any late fee's on California's registration. California makes you pay more fines the longer you wait to register your car after the tags expire, I thought I might have to pay all that before I could get a VA title. Nope!

And just when I thought I was all done, I wasn't. I finally got my actual lisence in my hands and was walking out to my car when I realized they didn't transfer my motorcycle lisence over. Damn it!!! So stormed back in yelling and cussing all the way up to the front, jumped up on the counter and ripped my shirt off demanding they fix it!!! Ok, not really. I went back in and politely asked, "WTF, over?" They fixed it and I was on my way.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo happy to get that monkey off my back. Now I can ride like the rest of you motals.

ConGRATS STEVE!!!

As for the whole jumping up and down Britney Spears thing - I would have done the same when I got my M on my license if I had known Chris a little bit longer...

But he was wearing that ghey ass shirt and I didn't want to make any impressions that could make for a really "Fast and Evasive" ride home.

Devious, Nothin' but love bro!!!

Word, I'm gonna get it inspected and emission-tested now that I can actually register it. GaWd, its so nice to be able to drive legally, go to the dump and just park my damn vehicles on the street without fear of a ticket.
