I received a questionnaire from VA Circuit Court for jury duty. I filled it out like a good citizen, sealed it, and prepared to mail it back.

Get this....I GOTTA PUT A FUCKIN' stamp on it!

...Besides, they dont seem to mess around with Jury Duty in NOVA, my wife got a letter from a judge threatening a bench warrant b/c she didnt do some part of it on time...

Put down "all who have to go to court are automatically guilty!! Otherwise, they wouldn't be there!!"...see if that helps to get you out of it.

Who owns stamps anymore? With email and automatic bill pay, the US postal services is only used for sending packages and junk mail.

Funny thing, right on the front of the questionnaire above my address is a website address that says, "Submit questionnaire on-line" right under it.

Maybe we'll have jury duty together.

You'd pay for it either way. Went through the same thing recently and thought the same thing. Should be "No postage necessary if mailed in the US," but that would mean we as taxpayers would pay for the mailings. As it as, we as taxpayers pay for it anyway, only the system involves the individual stamping his or her own response.

The website was not SSL encrypted....still

I sent mine in several months ago, and now I've been called for Jury duty in October (each Monday). This will be my second time serving on jury duty
