Just found out... - June 29, 2008, 07:34 PM

that my brother is on his way home from Iraq!!! Its a medical emergency - my mothers side of the family has a history of intestinal problems, and it seems that its hit my brother. They medivac'd him to Germany today, and I'm hoping he'll come to Walter Reed. He has a blockage in his intestines, which also happened to me when I was 16 years old. I'm hoping he'll be okay and his situation is not as serious as mine was (8 major surgeries, 2 illeostomy's in a 45 day period, and 4 months in the hospital, 8 months with the bag on my tummy), but I'm glad that he's out of the desert. We dont know the full story of his condition yet, because he could only talk to my mom briefly. I know its selfish of me, but I'm hoping that he doesnt have to go back to Iraq for anything.

Sometimes the worst things that happen (your bro being sick) can turn out so much better then expected. I hope he is doing well and makes a speedy recovery. Please thank him for all he has done for us and thank you as well. Its never easy having a loved one in harm's way.

Thanks, everyone; he rides too, so when he is able to get online I'm going to point him to this site and this thread. I'm usually a low key kind of dude, but I just wanted to share with you guys.
