Justice was served last night in Fairfax - October 21, 2010, 08:21 AM

Soooooo my car got hit the other night in my apt complex.. nothing serious.. just some car parking and rubbed up against my car. I would normally say whatever and buff it out myself but there is a pretty deep scratch.

So I walked around the parking lot and found the car that hit me.. EASY it was parked like 3 cars away from mine this time.. So I went over and matched up the scratches from my car and theirs. EXACT MATCH and they even had silver pain on their car... So I wrote up a nice note and left it on their windshield..

It read something like this...
"To the owner of this car.. You ever so kindly hit my car the other night and didn't leave a note. I KNOW it was you because you left a nice long line of green paint on my car. I also checked your car and you have a nice long silver streak on yours. Here is my contact info... You have 24 hours to get in touch with me or I'll be sure the police get in touch with you..."

Something like that..

So I get no call.. no knock on the door.. nada.. I get home from work yesterday and call up the popo.. They come within 10 minutes and it's on.. I give the cop their tags and he gets the address.. runs upstairs and talks to the family.. He comes back down 10 min later and says that they moved... WTF?? I told him that's impossible.. he checks a few other things and goes back up.. this time he's up there a while.. like 30 min or so. Comes back down with the wife and her daughter... the mother barely understands English so she has the 10 yo daughter translate everything for her. I get all their info.. show them my car.. they apologize...

After cop leaves I get a call from "A Cousin" I guess the only one that speaks decent english. He asks if I would just see how much it would cost to have it fixed and they would pay me instead of going through insurance.. mfers...

For once Justice was had in Fairfax..

Biggups to FCPD for once...

Keep that cops number on speed dial when they decide to stiff you on paying for it and make sure you still have time to be able to file an insurance claim. Not sure if there is a time limit on this kind of thing.

They suck...Hope it gets done quick

The lack of respect for other peoples property makes me sick sometimes. Glad you were able to get this one sorted out though.

Get that crap settled right away. Make sure they pay you cash and do not try to go ghost on you. Had something like this happen with w taxi/limo service and they pulled up roots and moved within days of it happening. Thankfully it was some small scratches on the bumper of a car I do not have anymore but one second they were taking my calls next thing I know they were gone and I was getting a "..this number is no longer in service".
