Laptop Hard Disk Help - October 6, 2009, 09:20 AM

Guys I need a new laptop Hard drive .. I had Seagate Momentus 7200.1 SATA 80 gb , model ST980825AS

I want something with similar specs not higher than 100GB .. I generally buy stuff from here and these are the options I have .. these will fit right?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ame=7200%20RPM

Sorry I don't have time to research it today and I kind of need it urgent .. tx

Well that one is 160GB and you say you don't want anything larger than 100GB...why not go for the same model again?

Can you even buy an internal laptop drive that is 80gb's anymore? Why not just upgrade to the larger drive it won't hurt you any.

Sounds like you want an SSD. Faster than any platter media... but is more expensive per GB.

I have a 128GB SSD in my main PC and it boots up in under 8 seconds. Everything is insta-load.

I have a 320gb Maxtor Sata for laptop Im selling for 80. and it comes with a laptop enclosure if you want to make it a external harddrive. Purchase the harddrive from Newegg and got my original back working so dont need it anymore.

The Scorpio Black's are good drives. I just purchased a bunch of 250GB drives for work, and got a 320GB for my wife's laptop at home. I thought I had an 80GB Sata drive laying around here that I would have given you, but I cant find it

My laptop suffered a fall from a table tonight. Booted to a message 'No drive found'. I beat it on the ground a few times. Works great now. True story. Try it. Church. I'm out.
