I met some of you all at TWT the other night (I usually "live" on a different board)... thought I'd put this up here if anyone is interested. Feel free to PM or post up any questions. We are trying to wrap up reservations this week so if you REALLY plan on going, please be prepared to pony up the deposit ASAP.

There are a few of us riding down... we'll probably meet up with the cagers somewhere for breakfast and then head out. More details to come on that part.

Pasted with edits from my CL & MS bulletins:
Last call! If you or someone you know wants to go, now's your chance. Only $50 deposit to reserve a spot. This has been posted/collaborated on other boards/forums/lists on which I am an established member. We have enough people right now to get the discounted rates... I just wanted to extend this to others who might not know enough people who want to jump to get their own discount. So, here's your chance to jump out of a plane for a double-discounted rate.

The 411:

Who:
Mixed group of guys and girls from MySpace, CL, and CF. So far 15 people are confirmed to go.

What:
Tandem Skydiving (that's the kind where an instructor will be strapped to your back for the jump) from 10,000 feet.

Where:
Skydive Orange in Orange, VA (near Fredericksburg). This is THE best place in the area to go. Please check out their site (specifically the FAQ page): Skydive Orange. No, I am not in any way affiliated with their organization.

When:
Saturday, May 7th. Be there at 0800. Yes, it's early, but due to the size of our group, the school recommended that we take the first slot to minimize/avoid delays or getting stuck behind another group. We will pick a meeting place on the way out of the area (probably around Springfield) to meet for breakfast and caravan down there together or you can meet us down there.

How much:
Normal price to jump tandem that day: $ 235
Minus group discount (10%): -$22
Giving us the old rates: -$15
Deposit due by 9 April: -$50
Due the day of the jump: $148
We are wrapping up deposits this week! I accept PayPal or cash in person. If you feel more comfortable making your deposit directly to Skydive Orange, let me know and we'll make arrangements.

*DISCLAIMER: Signing up to go does not guarantee popularity and/or success with members of the same or opposite sex. If you are a jerk, a bitch, or unusually ugly, it's going to take a lot more than skydiving to help you generate social appeal. But you WILL have a cool story to tell that might make people overlook your other, more annoying, or undesirable qualities. And if you pay extra for a video of your jump, you would have an excellent reason to ask people to come to your house and sit on your couch... the rest is up to you. Oh, and skydiving is dangerous.

I think you used to work with me at Arby's. Didn't you do drive thru on Sat nights?

You never have money for anything, so why post? Stop using up Rob's new fangled bandwidth. There are other posters that need it more.
