Lawn tractor: Anybody selling one? - May 7, 2009, 03:17 PM

Ok. Here's a random request. My lawn tractor finally died. I need one to borrow, rent,or buy. The other option is I can pay you to come out and give me a hand. Yes I know its random but you never know. Anybody selling one or know someone who is? Let me know. Thanks.

I'll sell mine.

Troy Built. Red, a few years old.

A few hp, 32" cut or something like that.

Could probably use belts and blades.

$700

(I want a Deere)

Right up the 1 hole.

We have about 4 acres. So yeah I think the tractor finally gave out. We have had it for probably close to 6 years...so it did fairly well.

The are two problems. First being that it eats belts like nobodys business. I think we can continue to work around that like we have. Simply pull the deck all the way up and make two passes. The main issue is the PTO clutch I think. I could be way off here but I believe it is a big magnet. I think it fried. I have been jerry rigging it with a wire to cause it to trip. Probably not the safest thing.

Nudist: where is your buddy located? Can you PM me his info?

Thanks to everyone who responded. As for selling or giving the tractor away, I wanna see if maybe it can be fixed. I will let you know.
