Lifesize Ducati Streetfighter Cake - March 1, 2010, 01:29 PM

Apparently, this episode is going to air this Thursday at 10PM. Pretty cool. The bakery that does these cakes is based out of B-more too.

http://www.twowheelsblog.com/post/32...-streetfighter

"This has to be the sweetest Ducati Streetfighter around. Food Network designed this life-sized cake modeled after the Streetfighter and presented it to owner and founder of GoDaddy, Bob Parsons an avid Ducati rider for his wedding. More details about this yummy motorcycle cake:
-modeled after Parsonís personal Ducati Streetfighter
- the cake was functionable and edible and had engine sounds, working lights and a smoking exhaust
- made of layered yellow cake and weighed around 400lbs
- designed by ĎAce of Cakesí Chef/TV Star Duff Goldman"

Ace of Cake's cakes look amazing... just don't taste overly great.

Agreed. I guess you have to give up some yummy for the aesthetics. I'm guessing regular cake couldn't handle the stress of being molded like that. I dunno. If tastes blahh for no reason...then

Side note. All those smilies and not one simple thumbs down?

Then again... That's just me.

I hope that cake would taste good for the money he probably paid for it, but I wouldn't care, because that is just pimp. Not many people get to say they had a life-size motorcycle with working lights and exhaust for their groom cake.

Oh yeah, apparently, he tipped the guy with a new 696 and full gear, so he's got money to blow anyways.

The episode comes on tonight at 10. I've never watched the show, but I'm curious to see how they built it.
