Looking for a finance job - May 6, 2009, 07:22 AM

I've decided that I need to leave my current company. Unfortunately it really isn't the best time to go out job searching right now.

If anyone has any information on jobs relating to finance that I can look into, it would be appreciated.

I have about 2 years worth of investment banking experience analyzing bonds and calculating derivatives, 2-3 years worth of internship experience at Legg Mason, and about 8 years worth of management experience helping to run my father's company.

I just need to get out so that I can atleast have some work/life balance.

The Business Bank out of Tysons is getting ready to open up a new branch in Ashburn. I don't think they have the positions filled but you can give them a call and see if you can get the skinny. 703-430-8006 is the Sterling branch. Ask for Mary-Beth as she will be the branch manager (last i heard) of the Ashburn location. Just tell her you heard about a new branch opening up but don't tell her from where.

I Have Nothing To Contribute.

Chicks are like jobs...all the good ones are taken and they can't pay you enough to do the ones that are available.

Hit up Access National Bank in Reston. Pretty sure they are hiring loan officers. Be prepared to produce though. If you can't, they will bounce you. If you can, they will treat you like gold.
