I say after reading this review, that if I was in the market for a new digital cam, i would be getting this.

been saying it for a while - can't beat Canon in the P&S digicams category.

I bought the IXY700 (international version of the SD550) last fall. It is a great camera. I no longer worry about carrying one camera for pictures and one for video. This one camera does it all. I even purchased the waterproof camera housing for it. Yup, underwater pictures and video too!

Both the upload are lower quality. The original picture is 3072x2304, and the video is full AVI for DVD authoring. I felt the original picture were too big to post.

Spud's new camera (Nikon D80) is great, and I still think about getting a digital SLR, this camera makes it very hard to justify the cost of an SLR.
