Turns out after a couple days of interviewing folks to fill a position here at work, the gov't has decided to eliminate the position as well as others around her.

So for those of you from the site that interviewed. Sorry to deliver the news...

Anyway, my job is majoryly suspect so i want to jump ship before they let me go. Not sure, but rather have options.

So if any of you know someone or a company looking for an IT professional. Let me know.

Skills are Web development(ASP, javascript, VB etc..), Server maintenance, Network maintenance, pc support, help desk, tape backup, VPN.... pretty much ive had my hands on anything going on to support a customer in an IT enviornment.

Thanks

Good thing I work for a government program and there is no foreseeable future when there aren't landmines in the ground.

War = Job security....sadly

Are you a gov't employee or a contractor?

Contractor = no job security.... regardless how much DOD is spending..

*edit on statement above.

Turns out the positions we were interviewing for are now on HOLD not eliminated. Next thursday is a meeting on the "future" of the IT staff here.

whatever!....
