Anyone have it? Use it? Is it worth it? I found it on Ebay for about 700.00 which saves me about 300.00. But I think they are refurbished. Im trying to find out if it will track your route while travelling and then recall it when you want...

That seems pretty spendy to me......

Try checking out this site, they make the best aviation GPS's on the market so I'm assuming their other products are top notch as well.

I second that...Both Jeff and I work as flight instructor's, and I would recommend anything Garmin makes to anybody! They have gotten me out of many a jam. Ain't that right Jeff?

Get a Garmin, much better unit...compared to the Megellan GPS. I have several pilot buddies who have reasearched and used both...the Garmin according to them was hands down better.

We sell Magellan at my dealership. Bout the only thing cool about it is that it runs off your cig. lighter so you can have GPS in anything you drive. The system itself is pretty basic and in my opinion not worth the money. $700 is a decent price for the system but bang for buck......don't get it.

Just my 2 cents.

God Speed Jeff! You'll never be forgotten.

BOOSTZX3 : in all seriousness head injuries ain't no joke. I've had around 10 concussions and now I ride a Buell Don't let it happen to you!

Damn...2 other pilots!
Guess the 100LL and CFI should have clued me in but I'm kinda slow.
Garmin get's my vote, too.
Used a StreetPilot with great success.
Kinda big for a bike but nice big screen so I didn't have to take my eyes off the road too long.

The Garmin units have a cigarette adaptor as well...I could be wrong by most do these days. I picked up my Garmin IV which has the graphical map along with direction and just about every other option as wel...yes Steve the Aviation option as well
I got mine brand new for $380 but it does not have the full color graphics, those run about $700 to 1200 depending on which model you want.
I like mine because it's portable and it has an "off-road" mode for hiking as well. I'd go Garmin...awesome unit!

I have the old Garmin III plus and love it. And yes, it even has a cigarette adaptor. Even took it to Iraq with me and it worked fine. I never got lost and knew where I was at all times. Will never go anywhere with out it. Have not tried it on the bike though. Guess I should get the mount for it and try it out.
