We got one of the Serta iComfort foam ones and it's amazing...like every night it's fucking amazing. Craziest damn thing, I never thought I'd care about a mattress but by god, it's that good. $1,700 at Sam's, but you get a $200 card. They will go on sale every once in a while. I think we got ours for like $1,500 and a gift card.

i see that online also....

I think pauli convinced me....
Hotel collection...i wonder how it compares to the Estate Collection.
I see more Estate Collection vs. Hotel collection. I have a hotel mattress now...cant remember the name brand, but its held up for over 20 years of hard service.

If you're replacing the bedding, may I humbly suggest a new adjustable frame to go along with this. You'll never look at a flat bed the same. Legget & Pratt produce some of the best in the business.

That shit looks like it will cost the same as a cheap used Race bike.

But unlike a race bike, it doesn't throw you off, shattering your pelvis and arms into shards of floating shrapnel.

When you wake up on one of these, you feel like a million bucks. I swear it turns your bed into a flytrap for women. They never want to get out.

Ikea.
But don't expect for it to stay firm for more than a few years (<4-5).

for what it's worth ikea has some really nice mattresses. they got all kinds of stiffnesses and toppers you can try and buy in the store. ended up going with their firmest memory foam (450 for queen). it's a real distinct nice feel, not sure how to describe it. it's really dense and supportive but you sink in nicely, very soft but very firm. we went to all of the retailers and couldn't find any other mattress that could match how the ikea one felt (at any price range). it's been 2 years, one pregnancy, and plenty of abuse (i jump on the shit all the time). no issues, not hot in the summer (breathable top), and no changes or softening since we got it. i'd definitely buy another, but i don't really see this thing getting beaten up anytime soon.

didn't see this before i posted. i really don't see mine getting at all worse for the wear. unless the failure mode is catastrophic, there's no way mine is not clearing that estimate. but for how nice this thing feels, i'd even take 4-5 years (especially at $450).
