Men's Bobsled Helmet - Anyone Know Who Makes It / Have a Photo? - February 27, 2010, 08:25 PM

Hey - does anyone know the helmet that the men's US bobsled team is wearing?

The paint scheme is pretty badass!

Black base with stars and red/white/blue stripes and accents.

Steve Holcomb has one on right now. I want to duplicate on my spare Spec-1R. I'm trying to find pictures.

Aside: I don't know if there's anything special for bobsledding - but these pretty much look like M/C helmets.

The helmets that the US Bobsled Team is using at the Olympics is a brand new Carbon Fiber version of the VR-4. The paint job is custom made for the Olympics, only 18 were created.

Thank you for your active interest in KBC. Actually, these helmets were specially made for the US bobsled team. But due to overwhelming interest in these helmets, we are in talks of producing 2010 US Bobsled helmet replicas.

Thx Dirty. At least I have a starting point. Maybe we can see some on the market next season.

(1) Because that would be overkill.

(2) Because I'm not trying to look like this guy.

(3) Because then I'd have to paint my RC51 to match.

eh...neat design, but you're still wearing a KBC...bottom of the barrel in terms of fit/finish/comfort as far as I experienced, unless they completely changed in a year and a half.

Confusing the issue, since before you were ugly.

Woody: i'd probably bang her if she didn't look like a man
