Sucks, I would have watched a F1 race if he had come back.

Damn.. was looking forward to this. I knew he wrecked his bike, but I did not know the extent... "The consequences of injuries caused by my bike accident in February, fractures in the area of my head and neck, turned out to be too severe. "

Should still be an interesting second half, hopefully some better racing?!?!

Would have been interesting to watch, but as far as buckshots comment, I think the playing field is much more level now, its great to see McLaren and Ferrari actually competing and really fighting for pole positions, for podiums, points, etc. Rather than always taking 1,2,3, and 4.
After a while it was just getting old, now it seems as if drivers who before never seemed to really have a chance at podiums unless an accident, malfunction, or something else extreme occurred to the McLaren or Ferrari cars, now they can finally compete at a more equal level and everyone actually seems to be fighting for points on a more level playing field

Shumi races bikes on occassion.

I've been watching for years now and red bull had this coming. They were progressing. It's just strange to see a lot of other teams falling to the side like bmw, mclaren, and Ferrari after being so competitive. The field hasn't opened up, the top two teams are just different is all. Now it's brawn and red bull. A more open field to me would be driver's from at least 4 different teams in the running. Not two. In fact brawn is slipping a bit now too.

Vettel though is a he'll of a driver. Real deal. Better than lewis even.

Wow, that sucks bad! I was sooo looking forward to seeing him race again. I still have the wrapped Racer magazine on my table with him on the cover from Oct 06. I still have not opened it.
